Jody "Ham" Hamilton
Jody Hamilton was born in Santa Monica, California, to two entertainment upstarts, Joe Hamilton and Carol Burnett. She was educated at CBS Television City's Studio 33 and during that time she was potty trained and learned to walk & talk. Between tapings of her Mom's show she began performing Magic Tricks and Illusions with her two immediate sisters, Carrie and Erin, who were billed as The 3 Mysteries. One day she and her sisters made her pet parakeet disappear, never to return…from then on, she never did magic again. Ever.
Being the 10th child of 11 children, she felt that her other siblings needed adequate representation and by age 8 she began her entertainment career as a Hollywood agent. She may not have had the contacts, the education, or the ability to form coherent sentences, but what she lacked she more than made up for in chutzpah. While most kids her age were playing with toys, playing some type of sports, Jody was collecting 10%. What followed was The Great Hamilton Uprising. All of Jody's siblings signed a petition stating that someone so young and talented, and who had not completed her multiplication tables, should not be in charge of anyone's career. But mostly, they just wanted to hold onto the 10% of their allowances she had been commissioning. After months of negotiating, tears, shouting, and biting, a sealed agreement was made. To this day no one knows the terms to the agreement. No one.
What began next would lead Jody to a long, loving life filled with furry, hairy creatures. When Jody watched the film Revenge of the Planet of the Apes on TV, she vowed to raise chimpanzees to one day be able to communicate with humans. After discovering her plan, her parents felt this might be in retaliation due to the "uprising" and did not want a Simian War in their house, especially with Jody's younger sister being so impressionable. So, they informed every exotic animal trader worldwide, with the help of the NSA, CIA, FBI, and Jody’s school counselors, to never sell her a chimpanzee.
At age 10, Jody focused her efforts to other furry, hairy creatures. She discovered the rock band, The Who. It was at this time she decided to pursue a career in the music industry. Lacking any and all musical talent, she focused her efforts on personal management. Again she began to manage the careers of her other siblings who, not recalling the terms of the sealed "uprising" agreement, happily signed her on.
When
Jody turned 14, she and her younger, impressionable sister, fled to Hawaii due
to the 2nd Great Hamilton Uprising. While taking refuge, recovering from jaw
realignment, and with her jaw wired shut for 7 weeks, Jody met a sweaty,
clumsy, and rarely coherent Sean Barton.
Sean lingered around Jody, initially, because while her jaw was wired
shut, she would not interrupt him.
This part of their relationship was short lived.
While their friendship grew like mold, one particular night, during one particular production of You're a Good Man Charlie Brown, Sean, innocently sitting in the audience, was asked to come up on stage before the performance as Jody’s mother, Carol, hosted a Q&A, while on stage, Jody’s mother proceeded to flirt with and shamelessly embarrass Sean. From this night forward he was nicknamed, Legs.
After leaving the Aloha state, Jody moved back to California, graduated from college, started 3 companies and began producing film and TV projects. She has garnered several Telly and Aurora Awards for her efforts and one Emmy Nomination so far. She hopes a Golden Mic award is not too far off on the horizon.
